My name is Nadia Nyathi. I am from the beautiful and diverse country of South Africa. I have a passion for the English language. I am a dual language(English and Afrikaans) speaker with a Neutral accent and a passion for the English language. I love reading and have actively been joining some book clubs with my students. Teaching online has been such a rewarding journey for me .It has unlocked a lot of doors to know different cultures and backgrounds of the students I come into contact with. I can safely say that it has been a blessing and has enriched my life. I also love watching movies(especially romcoms) and I am absolutely besotted with K-dramas .I love cooking and I am always up for the challenge of trying or preparing new dishes. I am a very patient and friendly person who loves people. I teach in both English and Afrikaans. I live in an area where English is rarely spoken so being able to improve the ability of my student's conversational skills has had a positive impact on them as well as myself .I have two years tutoring experience both online and offline. I really love engaging with my students. My teaching methodology is based on my students learning goals as it is very student-centered. I have completed my 120hrs Tefl certificate. This allows me to teach through the usage of a range of course books and materials along with a variety of audio-visual aids and to encourage students to communicate with me using the structures and vocabulary they have learnt. In my classroom we will be learning while having fun with confidence and enthusiasm .We will be focusing on Conversational English, grammar ,vocabulary, pronunciation and so much more. My teaching style is student-centered,I focus on the individual needs of every student in order for them to reach their learning goals. It is very inclusive and we are all about leaning while having fun in our classroom. Making sure that the students are comfortable while learning with confidence and enthusiasm

A1-C2 level English for Beginners: For beginners I start with common phrases/words that they would need to understand ,by keeping it simple and adding new vocabulary day by day for them to grasp and understand. English for travelling: I teach English for travelling as it is a necessity for my students to know how to communicate with confidence. Whether it is asking for directions or ordering off a menu ,I will equip them with the necessary skills to communicate comfortably while focusing on the more important aspects of their travels. Conversational English: I really enjoy engaging with my students while conversating freely as there are a wide array of topics that we can choose to talk about. Through Conversational English there is always something to be learned from one another. I center my lessons around the interest of my students so they feel comfortable and will engage in something they know. Esl: I teach English as a Second Language, helping people to talk freely and confidently. We talk and through practice the becomes more enjoyable and the fear of speaking goes away .After a while their confidence increases and they become more fluent. American vs British English: I will be able to assist a student improve their proficiency in the American English dialect by distinguishing from the British English and visa versa ,by explaining and helping students understand the differences between the two, by learning a variety of formal and informal words and phrases that is used in everyday life. IELTS: I will be able to provide assistance for my students in preparation for IELTS by assessing their proficiency in reading, writing ,speaking and listening.
